Basic Laser.

Many companies are manufacturing lasers designed for hair and vein removal. These machines have very different parameters, which include: laser type, wavelength, pulse length, energy output and spot size. Some have extensive clinical research to support their claims of safety and efficacy.

Others also have a clear safety record across all skin types. Only some of these Lasers have been approved by the FDA for permanent hair reduction or for the treatment of vascular lesions.

More About Basic Laser.
When a laser pulse is delivered to the skin, you may feel a mild sting or pinch similar to the snap of a rubber band. The Laser energy is absorbed by the hair follicle or by the vein, thereby disabling them. Several treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired results.

Piel offers what we believe are the best technology for the permanent reduction of unwanted hair and unsightly veins.

A critical factor to obtain the best results is the training and experience of the people offering the service.

We must carefully examine your skin, and use our best judgment to adjust the parameters of the laser.

We take great care to choose the power needed to destroy the hair follicles while still protecting the skin surface. That is why experience is so important.

Our certified laser technicians specialize in this procedure and dedicate all their time to it.

Altus CoolGlide Nd-Yag Laser.
The Altus CoolGlide Nd-Yag Laser is the most exciting technology in the field since it can treat both unwanted hair and veins. The latest research shows its effectiveness to be as good as that of any other laser. Its main advantage is that it allows the safe treatment of very dark skin types. Since April of 2000 we have used this laser on all skin types with very impressive results. The CoolGlide system also incorporates a cooling system that allows us to directly see the area treated.

Recent studies have shown that the upgraded version of this machine is a great alternative to sclerotherapy in the treatment of spider leg veins and even facial vessels.

The CoolGlide Laser is one of the few technologies that are FDA approved for permanent hair reduction and for the treatment of vascular lesions.

There are other laser machines that permanently remove unwanted hair or unsightly vascular lesions.

As with other methods of skin rejuvenation, laser treatments can usually be repeated. However, by protecting yourself from the sun and following a skin-care regimen recommended by your plastic surgeon, you can help maintain your rejuvenated look.
